Brainwashing

While reading recently about the Elizabeth Smart kidnapping case (happy ending) they mentioned that she had probably been brainwashed by her psychotically religious kidnappers. This caught my attention: many of the techniques involved in brainwashing were the same that I had seen in practice  going to "holy roller" tent revivals as a kid.

Atheists In America

Atheists are the last minority in this country that are legally allowed to be persecuted. If Jews, blacks or Mexicans were to be legally discriminated against as us Atheists regularly are, the uproar would be stupendous. But since its just Atheists, who gives a shit???

History or HIS-STORY?

History is written by the victors. That being the case, imagine for a moment if Nazi Germany had been the victors of World War Two, and thus had written the history books that we in The United States grew up with. Our perceptions of Adolph Hitler would be vastly different than they are now. Hitler would come across as a good guy, while Roosevelt would be the villain. A history of Germany, written by Nazi Germans, would be vastly different than one written by who really won the war. Christians would admit this, yet then turn around and claim that their own history, written entirely by the sect that won the early power struggle, is somehow pristine and pure as the driven snow.

Morality

Christians like to brag that they are the originators of, and the sole source for, morality on this planet. They seem to feel that they have a monopoly on morality. Once again, Christian claims fall far short of reality.

Hellfire For Roses With Thorns

Modern science is showing more and more "sins" are biological in origin, and NOT "moral choices". This presents a quandary for Christians: how can Biblegod justly roast somebody's ass in hell for all eternity for something over which they had no control???  "Divine Wrath" for a gay man being gay makes as much sense as yelling at a rose for having thorns, yet this is the "justice" system set up by Biblegod.

September 11th Has Been Hijacked by The Christians

In the days following September 11th, Christians were noticeably absent from the public arena, fearing the obvious question that everyone had on their minds, "Where the hell was God?"

 

Abortion

If fetuses go straight to heaven, why aren't Christians in favor of abortion, and why aren't they out aborting as many as possible???

 

Christianity Has Pagan DNA

Christianity did not come down out of heaven fully formed & gift wrapped for mankind. It evolved, and borrowed alot from the extant religions of its day.

 

Geek Speak Like a Fundy

When theologians can't dazzle 'em with their brilliance, then they'll baffle 'em with their bullshit! Learn the in's and out's of how to confuse the hell out of people to the point where they give up asking questions and just ASSUME you know it all. Do the opposite of Jesus. Jesus tried to make the complex simple so all could understand it. Fundy's make the simple complex so none may understand it.

What Would Jesus Do ?

Have Christians really thought this one thru? Would Jesus pick his nose? Would Jesus fart in a crowded room? Did Jesus use toilet paper? Inquiring minds want to know!!!

Which is more likely when someone claims to hear "the voice of God": mental illness, or divine revelation? Occum's Razor demands the more likely explanation.

Judging Deities

When Christians look at the good things Biblegod has done, they judge Biblegod to be good, and no one says anything. However, when Atheists look at the bad things Biblegod has done, and judge Biblegod to be bad, we are told we're not allowed to do that: "who are you to pass judgment on God?". This is hypocritical.
