Transcendental La La Land is one more example of where Christians want it
both ways. They want all their gods IN the universe. They want all their gods
OUT OF the universe. For example, when it comes to answering prayers, dying for
mankind, or laying down the law on Mt. Sinai, they believe their gods are
IN
the universe kicking ass. However, when scientists continually fail to find even
one ounce of evidence for Christian gods in the universe, the Christians want
their gods OUT OF the universe, living in a "transcendent"
universe where (convenient for them) he can't be detected- thus explaining away
the continual and embarrassing lack of evidence.

What the Christians, of course, are MOST interested in, is being able to
provide answers (however incorrect) to "explain away" objections to their
fantasies. If making up a make-believe universe to put their gods in does the
trick, so be it. If calling their gods back into the REAL universe does it, so
be that. The bottom line is always and forever this: use any lie, make up any
story, as long as the religion is defended from intellectual assaults.
One problem with Transcendental La La Land is that their is not one shred of
evidence for it- only wild science fiction created by bored religious geeks with
too much time on their hands. The FACT there is no evidence for it would just as
easily allow us Atheists to make up billions of fantasy universes ourselves, and
populate them with whatever gods or creatures we wish, and we would stand upon
the same foundation as the Christians: bullshit.
The Christians like hiding their gods away in the Transcendental Universe, as
they think this exempts Biblegod from the problem of having no evidence that he
really exists. However, even if this were the case, the moment Biblegod sticks
even so much as his little toe into OUR universe, he then becomes detectable by
our scientific instruments- he becomes fair game for all that modern science has
to offer.
So what the Christians are left with is this: they can have their Biblegod
locked up in their Transcendental Universe, but then he can't answer prayers. He
can't influence who's going to win the local High School football game this
weekend, he can't pick out "Mr. Right" for the ugly old maid at church, and he
can't "lay a heavy burden upon the heart" of anybody for anything, and he can't
stop a disaster from happening, and he sure as hell couldn't have been walking
around ancient Israel with a dozen buddies. In short, his hands are tied and he
becomes a DO-NOTHING god.
If they let their Biblegod INTO this universe of ours, THEN he can answer
prayer, win football games, pick out husbands, and prevent tornados from
wrecking churches. But at the same time, he also then becomes a PART OF our
universe- occupying space and time and energy in our universe, and thus becomes
detectable- and thus open to the full weight of Atheistic intellectual
ammunition that shows he doesn't exist.
In conclusion, Christians are damned if they do, damned if they don't. One
thing is certain though- they can't have their god living in BOTH universes,
even if it DOES prove handy for their theology.
