Am I therefore become your enemy for telling you the truth?”

The Apostle Paul   Galatians 4:16

Monotheism Not Biblical

I get emails from Fundies who tell me that since I spend soooooo much time speaking out against something I don't believe exists (i.e. Biblegod), I must therefore deep down inside really do believe that Biblegod DOES exist, as "no one would spend time writing against things they don't really believe exist."

Following that line of  "reasoning", then all the Gods and Goddesses (even the tree gods) mentioned in the Old Testament must also be real- at least as real as the god of the Bible who rails against them. Biblegod expends enormous amounts of time and energy speaking out against and battling Baal, Tammuz, Ishtar, and all the other gods of days gone by. Should I even have to mention what the 1st of 10 Commandments is about? (I probable should, as the average Fundy is so ignorant of his own religion that he doesn't even know The Ten Commandments) The Bible even says that Biblegod had punished* the gods of Egypt. HOW can something be punished UNLESS that something EXISTS??? If I said to you in all seriousness that I cooked and ate the Easter Bunny, that would strongly imply either that I'm friggin' NUTS, or that I really DO believe the Easter Bunny exists, and was delicious.

Thus this Fundy line of reasoning, rather than being some "silver bullet" to defeat Atheism, actually opens up a veritable Pandora's Box of pagan gods with which to haunt and infest both the Christian worldview AND the space under their beds at night! (And oh, by the way, this can o' worms also happens to destroy monotheism and firmly establish polytheism.). So dear Fundy, when on Sunday morning your hired windbag spouts some spiffy sound bite that he jerked off a sermons web site the night before, you might actually want to stop and think about it a minute before you run off and use it against the nearest Atheist.

* From The Bible:  Numbers 33:4

While the Egyptians were burying all their firstborn... upon their gods also the Lord executed judgments.  (Amplified Bible)

The Egyptians were burying all of their oldest sons. The Lord had struck them down. He had done it when he punished their gods. ( New International Readers Version)

NOTE:   You can not  "execute judgments" or "punish" beings that don't exist. It's impossible, even for Biblegod. Therefore, IF you believe in Biblegod, THEN you have to believe in these other gods as well. There is no way around this. IF Biblegod exists and IF the Bible is true THEN all these other gods exist as well, and note that the Bible itself calls them GODS (not demons etc.), so that excuse dear Christian is shot. So...goodbye monotheism, hello polytheism.

NOTE: Not ONE Christian has tried to rebut this. They don't even try, because they can't. This is an air-tight argument.
